Hello!
This will be the very first “Blog” entry into the 4Creative site – so here goes.
As 4C’s only intern I have been charged with managing these entries so if things get too busy in the office apologies in advance if gaps start appearing!
Anyway, having just graduated from St Martin’s this summer and armed with nothing but a portfolio and some magic markers, a few ideas and my trusty Final Cut Pro, I am looking very much forward to getting stuck in. By the way, I have Ed Webster of 4Creative to thank for me being here at all. He saw my final show (Infinity/Nothingness) by chance liked the photography (Noel Edmonds appears over 10,000 times in one piece – this is actually true) and got me in for a stint.
Who knows what might have happened if I hadn’t chosen Noel.
I will be trying to draw it out for as long as possible
This past couple of weeks has been a bit of a blur really, just getting settled in and getting to know people. There has been lots to do getting the 4Creative Summer Party ready for this Thursday. It’s at a secret Soho location which is looking pretty cool – they’ve got some good people coming and I’m looking forward to a bit of hobnobbing.
There have also been quite a few shoots going on, the biggest of which I was lucky enough to be involved in (look out for me in the background action of the new Jamie’s America promo, as long as I make the cut!) – brilliant fun and strange to see Mr Oliver wearing full bare arse cowboy chaps and looking so totally at home. Shutting down Stanstead Airport was a massive number and the logistics were mind blowing. Some really cool people on the shoot and Alex the director is a dude.
Anyway, tt’s a brilliant place and it’ll be great to keep you all updated with what’s going on. Saw Jon Snow arriving this morning on a BMX if you can believe it.
This morning I will be mostly be sorting out all the products from the 4OD convenience store shoot – going through cans of Ugly Betty and packs of Wife Swap. They are super cool and you should check out the spot on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhve5MnSuYI.
