4Creative Summer Party!

So we had the 4Creative Summer party on Thursday 23rd July and it was excellent fun. Who would have thought there was such a massive area at the back of that record shop on Poland Street.

The whole place was done up like a huge garden, with DJs in the shed and wheelbarrows full of beer. The atmosphere was brilliant and loads of people with vintage jeans and hard-to-find trainers came and had a ball. I spotted one guy with shoes so pointed they had corks on the end for safety.

Anyway, I met millions of great people and really had a great time getting to know a bit about what the whole 4Creartive vibe is all about. I really felt a part of it, even though I have done precisely no creative work (yet) for these guys.

I was only allowed in for a bit as I was in charge of taxis and getting people to the after party, but for the time I was there – 20 mins plus, easy– it was wicked.

Here are some moments that were captured on film:

Also they had this excellent photobooth that actually made people look cool instead of nearly dead, as is the usual way with passport photos.

There were speeches, reels, laughter and a brand new website launched www.4creative.co.uk (I was asked to design the NEW logo for the NEW section -  my first public bit of work to have made it through – bonus).

In the end some director with a moustache (and a sort of Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean meets Arthur Fowler from Eastenders look) told me how real was out and how slick is back in after quite some years being out of favour. I have noted this and will keep it in mind.

Look out for slick.

More soon. Today we are mostly wondering whether or not we have swine flu. Any slight headache seems to be a sure sign of the spreading fever. It’ll be like in ET when they have to shut down Elliot’s house. Only it’ll be more brutal and the shoes  pointier.
